Vajon ízlene neked a Cachaca? Na és a Batida?
A Batida nem más, mint minden olyan koktél elnevezése, amely Cachaca-ból, cukorból és gyümölcsből tevődik össze. pl.: Caipirinha Roppant hosszú ízskálát fűzhetünk a Batida koktél különlegességekből, ugyanis nagyon sok trópusi és egyéb gyümölcsöt használhatunk az elkészítéséhez. De lássuk, mi is az alapja a Batida-nak.
Batida = Cachaca + cukor + gyümölcs
Ha azt mondom Brazília, akkor mi jut eszedbe?
- foci, karnevál, szamba.Ezek mind Brazília nevezetességei.
De tudtad, hogy a Cachaca (ejtsd: ká-szá-sá) is Brazília „hungarikuma”? A trópusi országban a rum mellett a Cachaca a másik közkedvelt szeszes ital. Alapanyagukat tekintve a rum is és a Cachaca is cukornádból készül. Viszont a Cachaca-t a cukornád kisajtolt levéből erjesztik és többszöri lefőzéssel növelik cukortartalmát, majd a lepárlást követően nyerik ki, a rumok családjába sorolható trópusi italkülönlegességet.
A Cachaca erőteljes jellegét, egyedi illatát és alapanyag gazdagságát úgy érik el, hogy az ital lepárlása közben nem közelítik meg a tisztaszesz határát. Ez rumoknál és egyéb más italoknál 95%-os lepárlást jelent, a Cachaca-nál viszont csak 75%-os. Ezt követően tölgyfa, balzsamfa vagy freijo-fa hordóba kerül, érlelés céljából. Ekkor éri le aranybarna, barna színét és ekkor érnek benne össze az ízek, ami még egyedibb ízkaraktert kölcsönöz az Cachacanak.

A víztiszta, átlátszó Cachaca-t egyáltalán nem érlelik, egyből a palackokba töltik. Jellemzően ilyen érleletlen Cachaca szeszekkel találkozhatunk ma Magyarországon.
Történelme a rabszolgatartás idején kezdődött, ugyanis a cukornád ültetvényeken dolgozó rabszolgák fogyasztották nagy szeretettel. A rabszolgatartók ezt tiltották – minden egyéb más dologgal együtt, mindaddig még rá nem jöttek, hogy a Cachaca-val tompítani lehet a rabszolgatartással járó társadalmi kellemetlenségeket.
Brazíliában oly annyira közkedvelt a Cachaca, hogy napjain egyik felmérése szerint 1,4 milliárd litert fogyasztanak el belőle éves szinten.
